Tuesday 17 November, 12.30 to 2 pm, City Road Baptist Church.
This is one of the 'Prayer and Planning' events being organised by Christian Action Bristol – the Christian part of Faith Action Bristol.
We are planning to focus again on refugees and asylum seekers, as a follow-up to the previous meeting on 21 October. We had initially thought that it would be good to move on to the wider issue of housing, but feedback from the October meeting indicated that we need to return to refugees and asylum seekers again this time.
Some draft notes from the October meeting can be found here: Notes from Asylum Seekers and Refugees Meeting 21 October.
Information about what is happening and answers to questions is being added to the Refugee and Asylum Seekers pages as it arrives.
We are planning to follow essentially the same structure as last time, with light refreshments at the end.
Please register, so we know how many people to expect.
If you would like to say something (provide some information, make a suggestion, offer to do something, share a prayer request, …), please contact Paul – before the meeting if possible, either through the Eventbrite page or the Contact Form.
If people give enough warning, we will add details of the planned contributions to the page here.
The next CAB Prayer and Planning meeting will probably be held in mid-January, and focus on Housing.
The prospect of migrants arriving in Bristol and needing accommodation raises the obvious question of: where will they go? This is especially difficult, given that Bristol already has a significant shortage of housing for the people who are already here.
If you would like to attend, please contact Paul to say what dates would be good or bad for you, and please get in touch if you would like to contribute to the meeting in some way. Thank you.
